Clear eyes! Full hearts! Can’t lose! Friday Night Lights sold us on Texas Football, so we snuck into the home of the Texas Longhorns to see what all the fuss was about.

The Cybertruck and Crypto-pilled tech utopia in East Austin was reminiscent of most gentrified cities in America. However, the thrifting, dining, and bar scenes still felt more Texan than Dasha.

We found the Texas we’ve always known about in the shadows of The Capitol, and the H-E-B supermarket by Boggy Creek, where meat trays came in heart-shaped packaging and local hospitality was abundant.
